Meet the Candidate

Rebecca Leser, a Seaford resident, is the chair of the York-Poquoson Democratic Committee, a local political activist, and the Grants Coordinator for York County government. Prior to working in local government, Rebecca spent eight years working as a financial aid coordinator, helping students fund their education with federal financial aid, awarding scholarships, and encouraging students to borrow responsibly. Rebecca is passionate about the environmental issues facing her community and the long-term effects of climate change, creating an economy that allows all families to earn a fair, living wage, making long-term educational investments in the community and providing protections for those pursuing higher education with student loans. Once in Richmond, Rebecca will fight for these values and promises to bring accountability, transparency, and accessibility to the constituents of the 96th district.
